The global tango community uses the social platform facebookmuch more than any other social platform.

  • Facebook Groups
    • One public group for the event series, which will grow over time, and is used for general event advertisement
    • One closed/private group for the participants of each individual event, which is used for detailed event info, and participant communication
  • Facebook Events
    • To announce the event itself.
    • Sometimes: to announce the registration date.
  • Facebook Pages
    • The page for the event. It can be liked, and can be used to spread news about the event. This is facebook's recommended way.
    • Link it with the event and groups.
  • Facebook Profiles
    • Please don't use facebook profiles for people or events.

How do you use facebook groups best?
  • Use the announcement feature to promote important information to the top of the group, like registration dates, time tables, or final info.
