Ideally, you have your own domain, so you can send emails from an address like info@youreventname.com

You can then also create email addresses for your team if you like, or for different purposes, like registration@ or travel@ – depending on your needs.

Sending Bulk Emails

Bulk emails can only be sent to people who have given you permission to send them emails (see also GDPR). Usually, you get that permission during registration, or when people sign up for your mailing list.

Sending bulk emails can be tricky because most email clients will be very aggressive in marking emails as SPAM. To prevent your emails from being marked as SPAM, you should do:

  1. Setup SPF and DMARC for your domain
  2. Use a mail server that is known for high deliverability, like Amazon SES

In order to send personalized bulk emails and also receive some data about which emails are being read, and which links are being opened, you can use specialized software:
