History
Founded in 2009 by Mitra Martin and Stefan Fabry, Oxygen Tango has grown into a vibrant community that emphasizes both learning and social connection. The school's mission is to foster joy, discovery, and passion for Argentine Tango while promoting a supportive and inclusive environment for all dancers.
Programs
- Tango Challenge
The Tango Challenge is a 12-week intensive beginner immersion program that helps new dancers develop their tango skills and integrate into the tango community. This program is designed to provide a solid foundation in tango fundamentals.
- Tango Learning Lab
The Tango Learning Lab is a unique one-on-one format where students work with different teachers in a focused setting. The movement-based curriculum provides a concrete map of important tango figures and techniques in a sensible, progressive order.
- Practicas and Milongas
Oxygen Tango regularly hosts practicas and milongas, providing opportunities for social dancing and community building. These events are held at their locations in Inglewood and West Los Angeles.
