Tango Nuevo
Tango Nuevo is a form of tango that incorporates new elements into traditional tango music and an evolution of tango dance that began to develop in the 1980s[1]. The term Tango Nuevo is used to refer to everything that has happened with the tango since the 1980s, and it is not a question of a style[1]. Tango Nuevo is not a specific style of dancing, but rather a term used to describe what is happening with tango dancing in general[1]. Nuevo Tango or Tango Nuevo, the dance, followed the creation of Tango Nuevo Music[3]. Astor Piazzolla was at the forefront of this movement, and his music is often associated with Tango Nuevo[3]. Tango Nuevo is characterized by its emphasis on improvisation, fluidity, and creativity[1]. It is danced to a variety of music, including traditional tango, electronic tango, and alternative tango[1]. Tango Nuevo has been embraced by many dancers and teachers, including Gustavo Naveira, Norberto "El Pulpo" Esbrés, Fabián Salas, Esteban Moreno, Claudia Codega, Sebastián Arce, and Mariana Montes[1]. Tango Nuevo has also been the subject of many workshops, seminars, books, and numerous other learning materials for beginner tango dancers and experienced ones alike[4].
